It is not. Structural Integration involves a much longer and deeper training, and incorporates a tremendous amount more than can be taught in a weekend format. MIPAWORK utilizes ideas and practices from the Buddhist mindfulness tradition. Any form of bodywork is already a form of mindfulness, as it takes a lot of ‘presence’ to be effective and achieve beneficial results. MIPAWORK acknowledges this quality inherent in the practice of manual therapy, and gives it an extra emphasis, helping the practitioner discover more clarity and depth in their work.
